Two completely different types of combat hit the Xbox Live Arcade service this week, with Worms 2: Armageddon and The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match.
Worms 2: Armageddon is [[link]] the sequel to Worms Armageddon, released 10 years ago for the Dreamcast, PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo 64. The gameplay is tried and true: use various weapons to take out the opposing teams’ worm soldiers, taking into account trajectory, [[link]] wind, and the sheer enjoyment of worm killing.
The King of Fighters [[link]] ’98 Ultimate Match takes The King of Fighters ’98, adds a few more characters, and kicks the whole thing up a notch with Xbox Live support for a little 1-on-1 action. Sure, The King of Fighters XII comes out in a month, but this one has Mai in it.
Both games will be available early Wednesday morning for 800 Microsoft points apiece.
